Yaa Pono Details why he did Not Attend Shatta Wale’s Freedom Concert

Popular Ghanaian rapper, Yaa Pono, has given reasons to why he did not show up at Shatta Wale’s freedom concert that saw a lot of patrons filling the Accra sports stadium.

According to Yaa Pono in his latest interview, Shatta did not officially send him an invitation for the show. He added that it was only a social media video that was trending which was not a proper way of inviting creatives for a concert. 

“It was too early and besides I did not get a call. I was expecting a call and not a social media thing because if I want him on a song or video, I won’t invite him in a video to show seriousness. He was not really serious,” Yaa Pono detailed in an interview.

Apart from that, Yaa Pono added that he even does not decide the event to attend or the amount of money to charge for an event since his management would have been involved to go through the contractual processes of his performance in a well business manner.

Managements normal take money or strike other barter deals for their artists in such situations.

Yaa Pono emphasized that his long term banter with Shatta Wale is just for the Showbiz but not on personal levels. In the future Yaa Pono said he expects an official approach from Shatta Wale.
