Berla Mundi, a media celebrity from Ghana, brought honor to her country by co-hosting the Global Citizen #PowerOurPlanet event in France.

Renowned performers including Billie Eilish, Mosiman, Jack Harlow, Lenny Kravitz, Finneas, HER, and budding star Ayra Starr performed at the star-studded festival.

In honor of Ghana’s 65th year of independence, the 10th iteration of the Global Citizen Festival will be held at Berla Mundi in Accra in 2022.

She was given the chance to attend the festival in Paris once more thanks to her outstanding performance.

In addition to renowned speakers like John Boyega, Danai Gurira, and Sabrina Dhowre, the Global Citizen Festival, which promoted sustainable development and combated climate change, also featured ardent activists like Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Jerome Foster II, and Camille Etienne.

Known for her engaging presenting abilities, Berla Mundi served as the event’s co-host while donning a gorgeous red origami costume created by Duaba Serwaa.

In the #PowerOurPlanet section, Berla Mundi and Liz Wathuti introduced the audience to Ayra Starr, a gifted musician from Nigeria.

They conveyed their enthusiasm and appreciation for Ayra Starr’s creativity as they shared the stage together, emphasizing her as a budding star with greatness ahead of her.

Prior to his performance, she also had the chance to speak with Lenny Kravitz, which she documented on Instagram.

“Just before he got on stage, I spoke to multiple Grammy Award winner, @lennykravitz and he had a very important message for us all,: ‘ #LetLoveRule has been my mantra, and it is not only meant for us to love ourselves but to love the planet. This is our planet.’

@glblctzn #PowerOurPlanet,” she posted.

Social media users praised her for drawing the audience’s attention to the stage with her special charm and vitality.

“Proud of you Bella for hosting this great event,” a fan posted while another wrote, “I’m so proud of Berla. I see her hosting Grammys soon”, one said.

As a presenter at Media General and a frequent event host, Berla Mundi has a developing reputation internationally. Her participation in the Global Citizen Festival is evidence of this.
