The Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSBT) celebrated a significant milestone as it conferred degrees upon its first graduating class and welcomed a new batch of students during its third matriculation ceremony. The highlight of the event was the fulfillment of a promise made by the school’s founder and Chairman of the Governing Board, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, who bestowed each of the initial eight students with $1,000 upon their graduation.

The ceremony, held at the Ayensudo campus, saw a total of 25 students graduating, comprising eight females and 17 males. Among them, two achieved first-class honors, while the rest secured various classifications, ranging from second-class upper to third-class honors.

Originally intended as seed money to kickstart small businesses while studying, the cash award was delayed due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, as explained by Dr. Nduom. He urged the graduates to utilize the funds wisely, emphasizing the importance of investing in ventures that would yield long-term benefits.

He underscored NSBT’s dedication to providing quality education in business and technology, positioning itself as a leader in these fields.

The Rector of NSBT, Rev. Prof. Daniel Adjepong Nyarko, highlighted the school’s efforts in forming partnerships with international universities and enhancing English language proficiency among Ivorian students through collaboration with the Ivorian Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Emmanuel Newman, a representative from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, commended the graduates for their achievements and encouraged them to leverage their education to address societal challenges and secure employment opportunities. He emphasized the versatility of the skills acquired, emphasizing that regardless of their field of study, graduates could contribute meaningfully to various sectors.

With plans underway for NSBT to attain chartered, independent university status, the institution stands poised to further its mission of providing quality education and contributing to national development.
