Refund of WASSCE Practicals Fees Collected from Students
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed all school heads who collected money from students or parents under the pretext of covering WASSCE practical fees to refund the monies without delay.
According to a statement issued by GES Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Fenyi, the government has released approximately 9 million cedis to cater for the cost of the 2025 WASSCE Practicals. This funding is intended to fully cover all expenses related to the practical examinations, making any additional charges by schools unnecessary and unauthorized.
“We expect that any School Head who has collected money from students or parents in the name of WASSCE Practicals must refund it without delay,” the statement emphasized.
The GES expressed confidence that all school heads will comply with the directive in the interest of transparency and fairness, and to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of WASSCE 2025.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to report any instances of non-compliance to the appropriate authorities.
