The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has unveiled plans to inject over 9 million Ghana Cedis into comprehensive upgrades across the Volta and Oti regions in 2024.

During a recent media interaction in Ho, the Volta and Oti Regional Manageress of ECG, Mrs. Christina Jatoe-Kaleo, revealed the company’s commitment to improving overall service delivery. The investment aims to address critical areas, ensuring a more robust and reliable power supply for the residents of these regions.

Despite facing challenges such as a revenue loss of 2.2 million Ghana Cedis due to the spillage of excess water from the Akosombo dam, Mrs. Jatoe-Kaleo expressed confidence in the positive impact of the upcoming investment. The strategic allocation of funds aligns with ECG’s vision to meet the growing demand for electricity and deliver seamless services to customers in the Volta and Oti regions.
