Rose Yeboah has shattered the national record for the women’s high jump, soaring to a remarkable height of 1.97 meters. This extraordinary accomplishment not only clinches her a coveted spot in the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games but also earns her the prestigious 2024 NCAA D1 High Jump National title.

Yeboah’s triumph marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first female Ghanaian athlete to seize an NCAA D1 national title, solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the realm of athletics. Her stellar performance not only surpassed her own school record but also stands as the collegiate leading mark and NCAA Outdoor Championships meet record.

The journey to this remarkable achievement began for Yeboah with her foray into international competition in 2019 at the XIV African U20 Championships in Abidjan, where she clinched the gold medal in the high jump with an impressive height of 1.83 meters. Demonstrating her prowess on the global stage, she further distinguished herself at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, securing another gold medal in the high jump event by scaling to a height of 1.84 meters.

A product of Kumasi Girls Senior High School, Yeboah currently pursues her academic endeavors at the esteemed University of Cape Coast, where she continues to excel both academically and athletically. Her remarkable achievement not only brings glory to herself but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the nation, highlighting the immense potential that exists within Ghana’s sporting landscape.
