Nkawkaw Salvation Army Primary School players celebrate after winning the 2026 Milo U13 Champions League at Essipong Stadium.
Nkawkaw-based Salvation Army Primary School won the 2026 Milo U13 Champions League after beating Kwabenya Atomic M/A Basic School 2-0 on Saturday, 25 April at the Essipong Stadium.
The team from the Eastern Region scored one goal in each half to secure a well-deserved victory. This win makes them the third school from the region to win the competition, after Bepong Methodist Primary School.
Just before halftime, Salvation Army took the lead when striker Prince Yeboah headed in a free kick.
In the second half, KAMA pushed hard to equalize, but Salvation Army remained strong in defense. Later in the game, Felix Peprah scored the second goal with a clever lob over the goalkeeper to seal the win.
After their victory, the team returned to Nkawkaw on Sunday, 26 April 2026. They were warmly welcomed by members of the Salvation Army Church, with a brass band and a large crowd, including local leaders and residents, celebrating their success.
