Eastern Region: 11 Dead, Several Injured in Sprinter Bus and Fuel Tanker Collision

A tragic accident at Amanase in the Eastern Region has claimed the lives of eleven people, with several others critically injured and receiving treatment at the Suhum Government Hospital and nearby medical facilities.

According to reports by 3news seen by Sixscribes.com, the crash, which occurred on the Accra-Kumasi highway, involved a Sprinter bus with registration number GW 6510-23 and a fuel tanker bearing registration number GR 1300-16. According to reports, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, working to rescue survivors and transport the injured to nearby hospitals. The cause of the collision is yet to be officially determined, though eyewitnesses suspect speeding may have played a role.
