The regulatory move, announced in a press release issued today, is based on Section 13 of the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775), which empowers the Authority to take such actions when service conditions are deemed contrary to the public interest.

According to the NCA, Multichoice Ghana’s current pricing model has raised concerns, prompting the Authority to initiate the process for possible suspension of the company’s Subscription Management Service Authorisation.
