Speaking at the Government Accountability Series in Accra on Monday, July 20, 2026, he said the new “Smart Start Curriculum,” developed by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), aims to strengthen science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education while promoting ethical values and civic responsibility.

According to the minister, the curriculum has been completed and will be submitted to the Ministry of Education before being sent to President John Dramani Mahama, Cabinet and Parliament for approval.
