ALLEGED: Nigeria Student Murdered For Blasphemy 

In a predominantly Muslim community, a female Christian student has been allegedly killed for making blasphemous declarations against Islam.

This incident happened at a tertiary college in the northern Nigerian city of Sokoto.

The victim, after being killed, was set ablaze by the Muslim students at the Shehu Shagari College of Education.

They then went on the rampage destroying property including vehicles. Speaking to BBC new, a police spokesperson in Sokoto state said security forces intervened when the students added to their already committed crime by destroying properties, including vehicles. They intervened to restore, calm and further investigate into the couple of crimes.

The school has been indefinitely closed down by school authorities indefinitely. Students have therefore been asked to leave the premises of the school immediately.

The act, has been condemned by Nigeria’s most senior Islamic religious leader, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar.
