Ex-Ghana goalkeeper, Razak Brimah has declared himself ready to fight for his motherland Ghana after first choice keeper, Jojo Wollacott has been ruled out of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. Second favourite keeper, Richard Ofori could also miss his spot after sustaining injury in South Africa.
Although Brimah has disclosed in an interview that he has an unfinished business with the National Team of Ghana, he has no chance of making the 26-man squad to haul the Ghana flag high in Qatar since he was not mentioned in the preliminary 55-man squad.
Brimah was a member of the Black Stars team that reached the finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. The 35-year-old failed to stop penalty kicks from Ghana’s opponent which resulted in Ghana finishing second in the tournament. He currently plays for Spanish club CD Estepona FS as a goalkeeper and has spent most of his career in Spain.
In other news, it has been reported that Asante Kotoko’s Danlad Ibrahim has been called to join BlackStars team in Dubai as goalkeeper will be part of Ghana’s World Cup squad in Qatar. Afriyie Barnieh and Otto Addo will join the team after final list announcement on Monday, November 14.
