Premier League Title leaders, Arsenal failed to hold on to two early goals in the opening half of their game against Liverpool on Sunday March 9, 2023 in an EPL fixture.

The London club failed to protect the goals through Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus engineered by Granit Xhaka’s inexplicable decision in the first half.

Playing 2-2 at the end of the game means that  they have opened the door for rivals Manchester City to close the point gap.

The fact that 2-0 lead was grabbed so easily should have made the job all the more simpler as the grumbles were ringing around Anfield at every missed challenge by the hosts.

Despite penalty missed chance, Mohammed Salah reacted first with a loose ball and put it away with the right in the 42nd minute to give Liverpool hope into the end of the first half.

Roberto Firmino headed the ball home at the 87th minute to play levels with Arsenal.

Arsenal are currently on of the league table with 73 points after playing 30 matches. Manchester City tightly follow with 67 points with one game to spare.
