Asamoah Gyan Should Not Lead Jama Boys, He Should Lead Ghana’s Attack – Sonnie Badu

Gospel Musician, Sonnie Badu, has asked management of the Senior Soccer National Team of Ghana to bring Asamoah Gyan back into the Black Stars if they can not organise clinical  forces to score goals for the country.

The singer said this after the ’wasteful’ 1-nil win over Nicaragua in the FIFA international friendlies. To him, Baby Jet is the best man to lead Ghana’s front for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“Perhaps my opinion might cause a lot of problems. Nonetheless, someone must address it and so I will… WHAT IS ASAMOAH GYAN doing leading “Jama” with spectators – when he is Ghana’s record holder of goals.” he said.

He added by rating Asamoah Gyan ahead of some world class goal scorers like Thierry Henry on the international stage. The UK-based Ghanaian musician does not understand why some legends who could motivate the young stars are never close to the team’s camp as done by neighboring Nigeria.

“…And even [Asamoah Gyan] beats some of the top player like Henry on world cup goals. Is he not allowed in the camp? Can he not be there to help the younger generations? I am quite close to some of the Nigeria Super Eagles players. When they are in the camp – you will see legends like: Kanu and JJ OKOCHA there with them. Why is Abedi Pele never around? Why is Yeboah never around? What about John Mensah and John Painstil?”

To understand, he tried to ask whether politics has a hand in such happenings.

“Is the reason political? Well, any institution that plays politics can never progress. All these young players in there use to play GYAN on FIFA. Get Gyan to help shape them. I apologize in advance if anyone is offended.  Black stars are all we have and take pride in as a nation.”  He said this on his Facebook timeline.”
