The broadcast journalist cited numerous reasons that led to this grade. The Sompa Fm journalist said the timing for the global tournament is one of the reasons for his rating . Papa Poku further elaborated that previously countries had two to three weeks to prepare for the global festival after the main stream season has ended in Europe and other continents but unfortunately countries have less time to prepare for this years tournament due to the timing of the biggest football festival.
Atta Poku went to say that the English Premier League will release players to their national teams barely a week before the tournament kick starts on Sunday November 20
Papa POKU said,” We don’t have enough opportunities to train, there are a lot of new players in our team making preparations and team cohesion difficult”.
He told the host, Prof Romeo, “team cohesion is achieved through countless team training but unfortunately our team lacks that”. The new players have had only two games under their berth making it difficult for the old players to know the movement pattern of our guys.
