The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced a postponement in the payment of two key allowances for November 2025, affecting workers within the education sector.

According to a press statement issued on November 25, 2025, the delay resulted from a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run. To prevent any disruption to the timely payment of November 2025 salaries for all Government of Ghana employees, the CAGD temporarily halted the processing of the affected allowances.

The department has assured staff that the challenge is being addressed. “The outstanding allowances will be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on December 18, 2025,” the statement confirmed.
