CEO of Theresa Rice, Mr. Augustine Amoakohene Donates GH₵50,000 to Victim of Sakumono Ramsar Site Demolition Exercise

Mr. Augustine Amoakohene, Chief Executive Officer of Theresa Jasmine Rice, has donated GH₵50,000 to Augustine Nyarko to support him in securing a permanent home following the recent demolition exercise at the Sakumono Ramsar Site.

The donation was presented through Ghanaian actor Wayoosi together with the management of Amoanik Merchandise, dealers of Theresa Rice.

Aside from the cash donation, several bags of Theresa Rice and exercise books were also given to the children of Mr. Nyarko to support the family during the difficult period.

The kind gesture follows an emotional incident at the Sakumono Ramsar Site where Mr. Nyarko expressed deep sorrow over the demolition of his residence. According to him, residents received notice less than 24 hours before the exercise began, leaving many families unprepared.

Videos and reports from the scene captured the elderly man in tears as he appealed for support after losing his home and belongings during the demolition exercise.

The donation by Augustine Amoakohene has since been praised by many social media users, who described the gesture as timely and compassionate towards a man facing hardship after the demolition.
