Chris Hughton Drops Baba Rahman As He Names Black Stars Squad To Face Angola
Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton has released 25-man squad to face Angola in the AFCON qualifiers.
Known names like Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, injured Tariq Lamptey and brothers Jordan and Andre made the cut but the coach dropped Baba Rahman.
There is on surprise inclusion, Patrick Kpozo, who predictably was called to replace Baba Rahman.
FC Sheriff left back, Patrick Kpozo who made the squad was also in the preliminary squad for Qatar 2022. Kpozo has featured in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League this season. The former Ghana U20 international is yet to play for the Black Stars.
This means that, Baba Rahman misses out on a Black Stars squad for the first time since March 2022.
