St. Dominic’s Senior High Technical School (DOSTECH) has emerged champions in the Girls’ Handball category at the ongoing Kwahu Inter-School Sports Competition hosted at APSEC.
The team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, overcoming tough competition from some of the best sporting schools in the Kwahu enclave.
According to reports by Thompson Glesu, popularly known as Papa Glesu—an Arts Teacher at DOSTECH who covered the event—the competition was highly competitive, with all participating schools fielding their finest athletes.
DOSTECH began their campaign with a narrow loss in their opening match, falling 4–5 to Abetifi Presbyterian Senior High School (APSEC).
However, the girls bounced back strongly in their second game, securing a commanding 8–2 victory over New Abirem Senior High School.
Their qualification hopes were boosted after APSEC later lost 3–4 to NAAS, enabling DOSTECH to move into the semifinals.
In the semifinal encounter, DOSTECH displayed pure dominance with a 6–1 win over Nkawkaw Senior High School (KWASEC), securing a well-deserved place in the finals.
The grand finale saw DOSTECH face Kwahu Tafo Senior High School (KWATSEC). With determination and tactical discipline, the girls sealed a 4–1 victory to clinch the gold medal.
