E/R: Benkum SHS Headmaster Interdicted For Allegedly S*xing 15 Students
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has prohibited the headmaster of Benkum Senior High School from operating, following allegations of having amorous relationships with at least fifteen (15) female students, graphic.com.gh reports.
According to the reports, the accused, Mr. Emmanuel Nyarko is under investigation which is being led by the Eastern Regional Education body as confirmed by Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah, the deputy spokesperson for the Education Ministry. Mr. Mensah said this in an interview with Citi FM.
The deputy spokesperson further called on all stakeholders and the community to calm down and assist in investigating into the incident.
The incident is traced back to 2022 and findings are to be sent to the headquarters of Ghana Education Service for further study and action.
“The investigation has started and the regional education outfit is in charge and the school has paved the way for investigations to start for the headmaster to give out the space or step aside for the committee to have the atmosphere to carry on with the investigations as per the code of conduct of GES,” Mr Mensah said as quoted by graphics.com.
“The Ministry is monitoring the development, and we urge the public to stay calm and help with the investigative process. And eventually, a report of the outcome of the investigations will be communicated to the GES in headquarters for other actions to be taken,”
