Management of Kasapreko Company Limited, Ghanaian manufacturer and producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, has announced in a letter to pay double salary to all workers; Permanent, Contract And Casual Employees in November as a measure to cushioning the staff in the face of the current Ghana economic challenges.
The letter came as a shock to many Ghanaians, that its content sounds unusual since many companies are laying off employees due low demand of products and services. Netizens have posted on various social media platforms wishing to be employees in the company.
The letter dated November 1, 2022, had its subject boldly written in block letters as “SUPPORT TO STAFF, CONTRACTORS, AND CASUAL EMPLOYEES IN THE WAKE OF ECONOMIC CHALLENGES”

“In view of the recent economic volatilities in the country which are affecting the wellbeing of staff, management is gravely concerned.
In addition to other measures taken to cushion staff and their families in the face of these challenges, management is announcing the payment of Double Salary to all permanent, contract and casual employees in November, 2022.
It is Management’s expectation that this payment would bring relief to all staff and their families as we all weather these challenges.”
Kasapreko Company Limited was founded in 1989 in Nungua, a suburb of Accra. It was responsible for the conceptualization, research, design and development of the first scientifically formulated, herbal-based alcoholic beverage in Ghana- Alomo Bitters which quickly become the company’s flagship product.
