Chelsea Continue Losing Streak As They Fall To Manchester City At Home.
The woes of Potter have been compounded following Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
The London side lost by 0-1. Riyad Mahrez proved to be a super substitute when he scored in the 63rd minute – this came moments after replacing Bernardo Silver in the 60th minute.
The England international Raheem Sterling was injured earlier in the opening three minutes, seemingly after tweaking his hamstring during a challenge with John Stones.
Sterling was quickly replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the Gabonese could not break into the defense of the Manchester team.
Riyad Mahrez’s winner means that Manchester City have now cut gaps to leaders Arsenal.
City sit 2nd with 39 points while Chelsea sit 10th with 25 points.
