The return of the English Premier League saw a 2-2 draw between Brentford And Tottenham on Boxing Day.

Tottenham was two goals down — thanks to Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbierg who cancelled out goals from Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney to snatch a draw with Brentford.

Brentford scored in the 15th minute when  Tony flicked the ball on to Bryan Mbeumo, who swept it diagonally to Mathias Jensen in the penalty area to give it to Vitaly Janelt to score.

A chance presented itself in the 54th minute for Christian Morgaard from Brentford but his header was wide which gave Ivan Tony the chance to tap in with the left foot to make it 2:0 against Tottenham.

Harry Kane pulled one goal back for Tottenham in the 65th minute and Pierre-Emile Hojbierg also found the net with the right foot to level all up in the 71st minute.

Ivan Toney had a chance to make it 3:2 for Brentford but hooked his effort over the crossbar. Before that, David Raya made a late save to deny Son Heung-Min a stoppage-time winner.
