Tamale based Chef, Failatu Abdul-Razak has uttered a lot of displeasure over the absence of certain individuals in the creative arts community who failed to cheer her up with their presence during her cook-a-thon journey in Tamale.
She point-fingered Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, and other popular Ghanaian musicians whom she much anticipated their presence but to no avail.
Prior to the Guinness World Record journey, Shatta Wale took to his Facebook page, promised to visit the cook-a-thon scene at Chef Faila’s record attempt but failed to make up to his promise throughout the 10 days of the event.
Granting an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime, Chef Faila said it seems they only project negative news from the north but not glorious challenges like this.
“If it was something bad about the North, everyone would have been talking about it. Not a single big musician showed up for North on this project. Not Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, etc.”
“It was Kwabena Kwabena who passed through. There were a lot of expectations that we were going to see some of the artistes we support so much from this angle show up and support us. Believe me, if I see Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale’s song, I can sing it to amaze you, but nobody showed up for us, and so they owe us an apology,” Chef Faila said sadly.
Following this interview, netizens have expressed displeasure over the sentiments of Faila, with some saying that she will lose the love she has amassed in this short period of time and attract envy upon herself if she continues to talk like this.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
