Private SHSs Included in CSSPS for the First Time: GES Extends School Selection Deadline

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially included private senior high schools (SHSs) in the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) for the first time.

The newly approved institutions — 25 in total — are listed under a new Category E classification and are co-educational day schools located across all 16 regions of the country. These schools offer a wide range of academic programmes including General Arts, General Science, Business, Technical, Visual Arts, Home Economics, and Agriculture.

To accommodate the new additions and allow students and guardians ample time to consider the expanded list of options, the GES has extended the deadline for the 2025 school selection process to Wednesday, June 25, 2025. This was announced in a statement signed by Mr. Prince Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instruction Division at GES.
