The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken swift action in response to allegations of theft involving free Senior High School (SHS) food items at Somè Senior High School. In a statement released by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of the Public Relations Unit, it was announced that the management has interdicted three staff members pending further investigation.

The decision to interdict the staff members comes as part of GES’s commitment to upholding integrity and accountability within the education sector. The investigative committee, tasked with probing the allegations, has been given a two-week deadline to submit its report to management.
This incident underscores the importance of ensuring transparency and proper management of resources within educational institutions, particularly those participating in initiatives such as the free SHS program.
