The Promotion Portal for teachers has introduced a new RESET feature, designed to give applicants the opportunity to correct errors in their submissions and re-apply with updated information.
This improvement comes as part of efforts to ensure that all qualified teachers successfully complete their promotion applications before the deadline of October 2, 2025. The new option allows teachers to clear any previously submitted application and start afresh without technical complications.
According to a notice issued by education consultant Daniel Fenyi, teachers who wish to reapply should follow a few simple steps. Applicants are to click on the promotion link (https://bit.ly/GESPROMOTION25) which directs them to the portal. Those whose application codes were deemed invalid are required to register again to obtain a new code, while those with valid codes may maintain their existing ones.
Once logged in using their Staff ID and Application Code, teachers can click on the RESET button, after which a new application form will appear. The applicant is then expected to fill out all required details and submit. A new submission will automatically erase any earlier one submitted, ensuring that only the updated application remains valid.
The introduction of the RESET feature aims to reduce errors and prevent disqualification due to mistakes in the application process. Fenyi emphasized that the promotion team will continue to receive and act on feedback from teachers as they navigate the system.
