GES Reinstates Fijai SHS Headmaster
Headmaster of Fijai Senior High School, Kenneth Agbomadze, has been reinstated by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
In April 2023, the headmaster was interdicted for allegedly collecting illegal fees in the school. He was later asked to “handover the administration of the school to the Western Regional Director of Education” as a committee was given two weeks to investigate into the allegations and report back to the service.
Based on the investigation, the committee concluded that Mr. Agbomadze was “innocent”.
On Monday, May 8, the GES directed the Regional Director of Education, Felicia Agyeibea Okai, who administered the school on the interim basis, to hand over to the headmaster after the investigation was completed.
“The regional director is to hand over the administration of the school to you and accord you the necessary support for you to function effectively”, part of the letter read.
Mr Agbomadze, parents and teachers of the school were also reminded about the traditional directives, rules and regulations of the Service.
“[GES] will not hesitate to take severe sanctions against any officer who flouts such directives and rules in the future.”
