Ghana Football Association Shortlist Three Coaches For Black Stars Job

The Football Association of Ghana is expected to find replacement following Coach Otto Addo’s exit after the Black Stars of Ghana were not able to progress from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In view of that, three high-profile coaches have been shortlisted to be considered for the Black Stars head coach job as reported by Asempa FM.

Otto Addo Unfazed by Criticism 

A popular personality, Chris Houghton is among the three to be considered. It is possible the GFA will hand him the job following his roles with the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion FC coach has a lot of experiences managing clubs in the English Premier League.

Next in the list is Argentina tactician Hector Cupper. After coaching teams in Europe, Hector Cupper also has experience coaching African National teams. He managed Egyptian national team from March 2015 until June 2018. He also managed DR Congo from May 2021 until August 2022.

Final, Englishman Steve McClaren has also been selected by the Ghana FA for consideration. He has experience managing English Premier League clubs.
