Renowned Ghanaian rapper Maradona Yeboah Agyei, popularly known as Guru, has thrown his hat into the ring for the prestigious position of University of Ghana SRC President for the 2024 election year, aiming to usher in a new era of progress and innovation on campus.
In a recent interview on UTV’s United Showbiz, Guru, who is also a level 300 political science and Information Studies student at the University of Ghana, passionately declared his intentions to vie for the SRC presidency. He outlined a comprehensive agenda focused on effecting significant changes, particularly through the digitalization of systems to enhance student mobility and improve overall campus life.
Beyond his personal accomplishments, Guru is driven by a deep commitment to advocating for the welfare of his fellow UG Legon students. With a keen understanding of the challenges facing students, he aims to be a voice for their concerns and aspirations, promising to work tirelessly to ensure a better quality of life for all.
Again, Guru mentioned his desire to the establishment of Legon Television, enhance campus transportation services with additional buses, and the introduction of recreational activities to reduce student stress.
Despite his demanding schedule as a musician, Guru emphasized his unwavering dedication to his academic pursuits. He revealed his ambition to collaborate with the United Nations in the future, underscoring his seriousness towards both his studies and his music career.
Highlighting his academic excellence, Guru proudly announced his impressive CGPA of 3.88, demonstrating his commitment to achieving excellence in all endeavors.
