Hajia Safia Mohammed who currently serves as the Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the NPPhas officially resigned as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), with her resignation taking effect on February 24, 2025.
In a letter dated February 12, 2025, she informed the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) of her decision through the Chief Director of the Ministry.
Part of her letter stated: “I am officially notifying your office of my resignation as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, effective February 24, 2025. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had in this role and proud of the achievements we made as a team during my tenure.”
She further explained that she was stepping down to pursue new opportunities and expressed appreciation for the support she received. She also wished the programme continued success and hoped it would build on the progress made.
Hajia Safia Mohammed was appointed as GSFP Coordinator in 2023 by former President Nana Akufo-Addo following the passing of Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah.
