In reference to the joint press conference by leadership of GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT-GH, management of Ghana Education Service has announced in a circulating letter that they are aware teachers through their leaders have withdrawn from duty effective Friday, November 4, 2922.
They have therefore directed head teachers not to close schools but to ensure students who report to school are safe. “Regional and District Directors have further been directed to ensure that Heads keep schools opened and closely supervise all children who report to school pending further directives from Management of GES”
They added that parents are advised to be calm pending further monitoring by leaders of GES. “parents are advised to remain calm and be assured that Management is closely monitoring the situation and will advise on the way forward accordingly.”
