Headmistress Of West Africa SHS Interdicted By GES For Illegal Collection Of Money 

Ghana Education Service has sanctioned the Headmistress of West Africa Senior High School. Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori was released from all her duties as the head of the school for collection of unauthorized fees in the school.

In a statement dated July 19, 2023, signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head, Public Relations Unit(GES), Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori has been directed to hand over the administration of WASS to the Regional Director pending investigation and final determination by the disciplinary panel of the region.

Statement: “Management of GES has interdicted Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, Headmistress of West Africa SHS, for unauthorised collection of money from students.

She is to hand over the administration of the school to the Regional Director of Education pending final determination of the case by the Regional Disciplinary Committee.”


This action is in accordance to government’s efforts to make improvements in access to education for all Ghanaians, gearing towards the elimination of all forms of barriers to education.
