Scholarships from the Heinrich Boll Foundation are available to international students who want to attend German institutions for free in 2023–24. The DAAD foundation and the Heinrich Boll Foundation will jointly support the scholarships offered by the Heinrich Boll Foundation in 2023.

Benefits of the Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarship 2024
Heinrich Boll Foundation Germany is offering Two types of Scholarships, the Study Scholarship (Undergraduate, Master), and the Promotion Scholarship (Doctoral).
For master’s:
- The monthly payment for non-EU students is €850 + additional allowances. In some circumstances, Germany may impose tuition fees.
- EU students: Tuition fees are not permitted in Germany but are permitted to a limited level in other nations; the maximum monthly amount is €649 + €300 for book money.
For PhD:
- Tuition fees are not permitted; instead, students from outside the EU are eligible to a monthly stipend of €1,200 plus a €100 mobility allowance and several additional allowances.
- Students from the European Union are eligible for a monthly stipend of €1350 and a €100 research expense allowance. In Germany, there are no tuition costs, however there may be minimal expenses in other countries.

- College or university lecturer Reference letter
- University Entrance Qualification or Equivalent.
- International Students to apply for a Master’s program have to submit: a certified copy of your first-degree certificate.
- List of academic certificates if you have already initiated your studies.
- German language proficiency. Not less than DSH 2 or Level B2.
