Kinbu SHS Student Fatally Stabbed by Peer — Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings Strongly Condemns Incident

Accra, August 1, 2025 — A tragic incident has happened at the Kinbu Senior High School community in Accra following the fatal stabbing of a student by a fellow student on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident that occurred yesterday at Kinbu Senior High School, which resulted in the fatal and senseless stabbing and loss of a young student,” Dr. Zanetor said in her statement.

She further emphasized that violence has “no place in our schools” and vowed to work closely with the Ghana Police Service and other relevant authorities to ensure swift and thorough investigations leading to justice for the victim.

“Our children must feel safe in their learning environments. This tragedy must be a wake-up call for all stakeholders in the education and security sectors to reassess the safety protocols within our schools and take immediate steps to prevent such incidents from recurring.”

The lawmaker extended her condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Kinbu SHS community, pledging her continued support during this difficult time.

As part of her response, Dr. Zanetor also committed to collaborating with the Ghana Education Service (GES), school authorities, community leaders, and security agencies to improve both safety measures and mental health support in schools across the constituency.

The Ghana Police Service has since begun investigations into the incident, with both students and staff being questioned as part of ongoing efforts to uncover the motive and circumstances behind the fatal attack.

More updates will follow as investigations progress.
