Newly trained teachers from various colleges of Education in Ghana are reminded to register for their NSS numbers to make them eligible for effective 2022/2023 national service.
A total number of 16,250 PIN codes were released on Monday, December 19, 2022 as stated in the National Service release letter.
“The National Service Scheme has today, Monday, 19th December, 2022, released PIN CODES for a total of 16,250 eligible Ghanaian trained teachers to enable them enroll to offer their one year mandatory national service for the 2022/2023 service year.” — part of the letter stated.
The statement added, “All eligible trained teachers are therefore requested to log onto the Scheme’s website on ww.nss.gov.gh to follow the online enrollment procedure. The period of registration spans from today 19th December. 2022 to Monday. 2nd January, 2023.”
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Dial *170#.
2. Choose Option 2 for “pay Bill”.
3. Choose Option 6 for “General payment”.
4. Enter payment code as – Nss Pincode (type Nss, put a Space and type your PINCODE). The menu will return your name for confirmation .
5. Enter deposit amount (GHC 41.00).
6. Enter NSS reference.
7. Enter PIN to confirm Payment.
8. You will receive a message to confirm transaction.
Management of the Service further counselled all eligible persons to be meticulous in following registration and other necessary procedures to avoid delay and being stranded.
“Assumption of national service is on 16th January, 2023. Management wishes to advise all eligible trained teachers to process within the stipulated period in order to avoid petty enrolment mistakes, and to ensure that only accurate information is provided.”
