Black Stars, SIXSCRIBES – Suleyman Ali “Sulley” Muntari, 37, has expressed his readiness to help the Senior Soccer National Team of Ghana, the Black Stars any time he is invited.
Muntari who has featured in three consecutive World Cups (2006, 2010 and 2014) for Ghana stated he is ever available even if his contribution to the team is needed off the playing field.
“Ghana, even if I’m on crutches today and they call me to come help, I’ll definitely run and go. Even if I can’t play, I’ll sit and contribute,” Muntari made this statement via GTV on returning to the Black Stars.
During his prime, the UEFA Champions League winner played 84 matches for the Black Stars and scored 20 goals.
Muntari was sanctioned with indefinite ban after he had conflicts with management of the Ghana National team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He apologised for his actions in 2016 but he is yet to receive a call up after the incident.
