A final-year student and acting Boys Prefect of Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, identified as Abass, has died after falling from the school’s administration block. He was discovered in critical condition and rushed for medical care but was later pronounced dead, leaving the entire school community in shock.
According to family members and some students, Abass had shown signs of emotional distress in the days leading up to the incident, appearing unusually withdrawn and troubled. The cause of his distress, however, remains unknown.
School authorities say investigations have begun to establish how the fall occurred, while the Ghana Police Service has also been informed and is expected to conduct a full inquiry to determine whether any foul play was involved.
