There have been pictures of ladies wearing uniforms, claiming that it is the official uniforms for teacher in Ghana. Responding to this, Michael Owusu Afriyie, popular known in the media space as Teacher Kwadwo has put to his Facebook page that, “it is the BIGGEST Gyimie” if Ghana Education Service is ready to introducing uniforms for teachers.

Teacher Kwadwo defended  his harsh language by stating that, basic schools in Ghana lack the required textbooks and teaching resources to approximate the demands of the new educational curriculum, so, introducing teachers’ uniform instead of textbooks will be a wrong order of prioritization, as he termed “Gyimie”.

“If this is true, then it’s the BIGGEST Gyimie!!!! There are no books and TLRs to implement a curriculum that was introduced 4years now. Learners are sitting inside dilapidated structures as classrooms, serving as “death traps” which poses great dangers on the lives of innocent children. You have ignored all these and the best y’all can do is to introduce UNIFORMS for teachers? You have money to do this unnecessary stuff? Yo,WTF is wrong with GES and Ghana leaders? They are messing up the Madafɔkin Education!!! Nanka Minister Of Education no, n’adwuma ne sɛn? Ah! 🤦🏾‍♂️ I don’t know if the UNIFORM is official or they just want to test waters to see how the public will react. Whoever even came up with the idea, nsuo gyina n’adwene ho. “yɛyɛ nea EHIA ansana yayɛ nea ƐFATA!!!” Gyimie!!!!” – Teacher Kwadwo wrote on his official Facebook page.
