Former Ghana Black Stars and Juventus football player, Kwadwo Asamoah has announced his retirement from playing active football.
The Excellence Sports player who has been without club since July 1, 2021, has made known his intentions to hang his soccer boots and prepare to begin life as a football agent. It is uncertain whether he will work for his former agent, Excellence Sports, or he will establish his own football agency.
The left-footed Ghana international, 33, has had a terrific spell as a footballer with a total of thirteen (13) trophies won in all competitions. He made 30 Champions League appearances. Again, the versatile player had 279 league appearances with 250 league starts; coming on from the bench only 29 times. For country, Asamoah got 71 caps and four goals, making his Black Stars debut on February 11, 2009.
Currently, he holds the record for most appearances by an African player in Serie A history (279).
