MoE Inaugurates 11-Member Ministerial Advisory Board to Strengthen Policy and Governance

The Ministry of Education has inaugurated an 11-member Ministerial Advisory Board to support policy direction, enhance governance, and strengthen strategic oversight across the education sector.

The ceremony, held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, was chaired by the Minister for Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, who also serves as Chairperson of the Board. The members were officially sworn into office by Mrs. Grace Ewoal, Chief State Attorney at the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice.

According to the Ministry, the Advisory Board will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance to ensure that educational reforms, programmes, and policy interventions are aligned with national development priorities.

10. Prof. Damasus Tuuronsong – President, Association of Private Schools, Member

11. Mrs. Mavis Asare Donkor – Director, General Administration, Ministry of Education, Member/Secretary

The Ministry noted that the Board’s inauguration marks a significant step toward strengthening stakeholder participation and ensuring a more coordinated approach to education sector governance.
