Otto Addo Not A Happy Man, Associates Ghana Defeat To Portugal To Fake Penalty & Bad Officiating.

The Black Stars of Ghana lost by three goals to two in their 2022 FIFA World Cup opening match against Portugal. Coach of the Ghana team, Otto Addo, has said that referee Ishmail Elfath in his decisions against his side — the referee decided to book an infringement in favour of Portugal in Ghana’s 18-yard box.

“The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty. Everyone saw that. Why? Because it’s Ronaldo or something?”

“If somebody scores a goal, congratulations. But this was really a gift. A special gift from the referee.” — Otto Addo said

Otto Addo Unfazed by Criticism 

Coach Addo added he was proud of the charisma of the Ghana players for rightly executing the game plan but frankly speaks as an unhappy man because Ghana had no point to take home.

“The game plan was correct but the referee awarded a penalty which was not one, everyone saw it, we had our chances even at the last minute I can’t be proud  because we take 0 points, we have to win our next 2 games”.  — he added

Meanwhile, Ghanaians were not happy with Otto Addo’s substitution during the Ghana vs Portugal game. Watch video below:
