Ghana Black stars failed to progress to the knockout round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. They won only one match against South Korea and lost two to Portugal and Uruguay.
Individual players in the team had their contributions but Ajax’s Kudus emerged the most successful player of the team after the race ended for Ghana.
Ghana scored five goals and conceded five as well. Out of the five goals scored by Ghana, Kudus had a brace against South Korea, Salisu scored one, and both Andre Ayew and Osman Bukari scored the rest in the match against Portugal. In all, Kudus scored the most goals for Ghana (2).
Inaki Williams who played as the top attacker for Ghana’s team failed to hit a shot on target in all the three group stage matches played. Kudus had the most shots (8) and the most shots on target (4).
Jordan Ayew had some successful dribbles in the match against South Korea. Kamaldeen Sulemana also proved his dribbling abilities when he had minutes against Uruguay, but, in all, Kudus Mohammed had the most dribbles (9) for the team.
Mohammed Kudus won one ‘Man of the match’ award in his electrifying performance against South Korea.
After a successful tournament, despite the early exit, European clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United reportedly have had their eyes on the Right to Dream rising star.
