Black Stars first choice keeper, Jojo Wollacott will miss Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup due to finger injury. The Charlton Athletic goal stopper fractured his finger just before Charlton’s last game against Burton Albion on Saturday, November 12.
The Medical team of Charlton Athletic did not want to risk anything when they realised Jojo was not fully fit. They pulled him out of Saturday’s game during the warmup prior to the game. Charlton Athletic’s boss, Ben Garner was hoping the goalkeeper’s injury was not enough to rule him out of the international competition at Qatar.
The news comes as a heartbreak for the 26-year-old keeper who broke into the national team in October 2021 and was set to start in Qatar.
Meanwhile, Richard Ofori is still doubtful due to injury. Coach Otto Addo will announce the list of 26-man squad to represent Ghana Black Stars at Qatar 2022 World Cup on Monday, November 14, live on TV.
