Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has defended Stonebwoy over reports that parts of the OVO Arena Wembley were covered during his BhimFest concert in the UK.
Speaking on TikTok, Shatta Wale said there was nothing embarrassing about the decision, arguing that artistes can configure venues to match their expected audience size and create a better presentation.
“It’s not a shame at all. Maybe you want to use the venue to create a profile for yourself. Do you understand me? I can also decide to hold a show at the O2 and invite you to come and sit in one chair. They can put curtains around the place and set up one table. I’ll perform, sweat on stage, and later write ‘sold out.’
“It’s not that Stonebwoy has done anything wrong. He understood his size and arranged the venue in a way that suited him, and that’s exactly what he has done,” Wale stated.
He said Stonebwoy simply understood his audience and arranged the venue accordingly. His defence has attracted attention given the long-standing rivalry between the two Ghanaian dancehall stars.
