University Of Ghana Ranked Best In Ghana, 2nd In West Africa
The University of Ghana has been classed as the number one university in Ghana and as well as the first runners up in West Africa in the 2023 edition of the Global 2000 list by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) rigorously evaluated a total of 20,531 universities worldwide, with only the top 2000 making it to the final Global 2000 list.
UG scored a remarkable 69.1% to attain the top spot in Ghana, considering four key areas —education quality, alumni employment, faculty quality, and research performance.
UG also became second in West Africa, just to stay behind Nigeria’s University of Ibadan, which scored 69.5%.
The news was quickly shared on the official Twitter page of the university.
