Aggrieved Mother Fumes Why Her Daughter Was Not Placed After Getting 35 In BECE
A concerned mother whose daughter was not automatically placed by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System has rushed to the GNAT center where representatives of management of Ghana Education Service are working to place deserving students who sat for the 2022 BECE but missed out due to some technical issues, to angrily demand her daughter to be placed.
Her daughter had aggregate 35 but was not placed into any of her choices of schools. According to the aggrieved mother, a classmate of her ward who had aggregate 39 was placed but her ward was left out after working hard to get 35.
“The problem is, my child had 35 in BECE but was not placed in any school. A friend of my ward who had grade 39 got the first choice that is why I am here.
Since they released the results, my daughter has never been happy because she really wrote the exams. Her personal teacher is even not in agreement with her results, so why should she be snubbed and place another student who had 39 in BECE?”, the woman said in an interview UTV’s reps at the center.
The woman added that by listing all the cagefory A school her ward chose but was ignored by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System
“Her first choice was Abiri Girls’, second choice was Mfantsiman and finally Aggrey Memorial SHS.”, she added.
