The Black Stars of Ghana have tasted their first and only defeat in their 2022 FIFA World Cup opening match against Portugal. The Ghana team lost by 3:2 in which many Ghanaians have blamed both officiating officials and coach Otto Addo for the team’s failure to triumph over the first Europeans who historically arrived in Ghana.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal for the Portuguese side from a controversial spot kick on the 65th minute, with additional two goal from Felix and Leao on the 78th and 80th minutes respectively.
The Ghanaian side pulled two back with a simple tap in by Andre Ayew on the 73rd minute and a diving header from the number 11 shirted Bukari.
According to some Ghanaians who interviewed with Obsoul of sixscribes.com, the referee was 100% bias against Ghana. Again, Coach Otto Addo took Kudus Mohammed out and brought Jordan Ayew on at the wrong time.
