Official Statement from West African Examinations Council (WAEC)

The West African Examinations Council announces the release of provisional results for candidates who participated in the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023 (Ghana Only Version). Heads of schools will receive login details for accessing their candidates’ results. Additionally, results are available online at www.waecgh.org for candidates who wish to view them independently.

Please note that results for 4,878 candidates have been withheld due to failure to return provided learning support materials. Affected candidates are advised to contact their respective schools for resolution.

It is imperative for all stakeholders to exercise caution regarding individuals claiming to upgrade results for a fee. WAEC emphasizes the security and authenticity of its results, which can be verified using the results verification system. The WAEC QR code is downloadable for result verification purposes.

– Total candidates: 448,674 (212,453 males, 236,221 females)

– Schools participating: 975

– Entry figure increase: 5.8% compared to 2022

– Absent candidates: 3,404 (0.75%)

The performance breakdown for the four Core Subjects is detailed in the accompanying tables.
