The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2025 WASSCE for School Candidates (Ghana Only). Heads of schools will receive login details to access their candidates’ results, while individual candidates may check theirs online. WAEC has also warned the public to ignore fraudsters who claim they can upgrade results, stressing that its results remain secure and verifiable.
A total of 461,736 candidates from 1,021 schools registered for the examination, marking a slight increase from 2024. Out of this number, 5,821 candidates were absent. Performance statistics for the four core subjects have been compiled and shared with the relevant authorities.
After completing investigations into examination irregularities, WAEC announced the cancellation of subject results for 6,295 candidates for bringing unauthorized materials into the exam hall, and the cancellation of entire results for 653 candidates caught with mobile phones. Results for 1,066 candidates have been withheld for various suspected offences, while cases of alleged collusion involving 185 schools remain under investigation.
WAEC also reported that 35 individuals, including 19 teachers, were involved in acts that compromised the integrity of the exams. Nineteen have already been convicted, and the remaining suspects are yet to face court. The Council expressed gratitude to all institutions and individuals who supported the conduct of the 2025 WASSCE and the timely release of results.
